Resources:

The corrections I make are based upon multiple sources, including:

  • Margie Wakeman Wells’ Court Reporting: Bad Grammar/Good Punctuation.

  • Morson’s English Guide for Court Reporters.

  • The Gregg Reference Manual (10th edition).

  • Merriam-Webster Dictionary.

* These are my primary sources, but I respect client preferences. If there are other sources you use, you may include them in the Reporter Preference Sheet that I send to every client.

* I am also in close contact with multiple other proofreaders who, just like me, graduated from Transcript Proofreading: Theory and Practice, or who have similar training. This allows me to stay up to date in the evolving world of court reporting, and also gives me others to turn to for advice if need be.
